The Human Bean Hosts Annual “Coffee for a Cure” Fundraiser to Support Breast Cancer Screenings

100 percent of proceeds and tips will be donated to Community Health Alliance to help provide breast cancer screenings and navigation services to uninsured or underinsured women in our community

Coffee for a Cure

The Human Bean Reno is hosting its annual “Coffee for a Cure” fundraiser on Friday, October 18 from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all five of its drive-thru locations in Reno and Sparks. During this one-day event, 100 percent of proceeds and tips will be donated to Community Health Alliance to help provide breast cancer screenings and navigation services to uninsured or underinsured women in our community.

“Early detection is a crucial element in the fight against breast cancer,” said Maria Partida, cancer care coordinator at Community Health Alliance. “Thanks to The Human Bean and generous donations throughout the year, CHA supported over 500 women in completing their breast cancer screenings last year alone.”

Since 2014, The Human Bean has partnered with Community Health Alliance, making a significant impact on women in the community. One CHA patient shared her story after detecting a mass in her breast: “My doctor found a mass, which turned out to be cancer. I thank God it was caught in time, and I was able to have the malignant tumor removed.”

“It’s an honor to host Coffee for a Cure because we see firsthand the difference it makes for local women,” said Tasha Frey, regional manager of The Human Bean. “It’s incredibly rewarding for our team to contribute to such a meaningful cause.”
