The Prescription Food Pantry Program has dramatically improved my diet
Eating nutritious food has been critical for my health.
For years, Greg has been receiving nutritious groceries from Community Health Alliance’s Prescription Food Pantries. Each week, he picks up free groceries packed with fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, beans, and pasta. Greg’s health and wellbeing have dramatically improved since he started receiving these nutritious meals, and he even mentioned that the program has helped decrease his grocery budget. With the cost savings, Greg has been able to invest in other areas of his life, including traveling to see his out-of-town family, which is crucial for his mental well-being.
Greg learned about our Prescription Food Pantry program through his primary care provider, and he couldn’t be happier with the care he receives at Community Health Alliance. He described our staff as thoughtful, caring, and organized, making him feel comfortable to get all his healthcare needs taken care of in one spot. Greg is confident that the care he receives will help him lead a healthy lifestyle.
At Community Health Alliance, we firmly believe that food is medicine. That’s why we offer the Prescription Food Pantry program to our patients. We currently have Prescription Food Pantries at three of our locations:
- Nell J. Redfield Health Center in Sun Valley
- Sparks Health Center
- Wells Ave. Health Center.
