Biography:
Amanda’s journey began in Tulelake, CA, where she grew up and graduated from Tulelake High School. Following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother, she pursued a nursing degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. After gaining valuable experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Medford, OR, she returned home to work in a small emergency department before finding her true calling in pediatrics. For six years, Amanda served as a patient care nurse and nurse care manager at Sanford Children’s Clinic in Klamath Falls, OR. She then transitioned into the nurse practitioner role at Sanford Children’s in 2022. Her dedication to providing exceptional care led her to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in pediatric primary care from Rush University
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys baking delicious treats, singing, and watching all sports, particularly the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Duke Blue Devils. She also takes pleasure in spoiling her friend’s children, as well as her niece and nephew, and spending quality time with her two Australian shepherds, Lilly and Durham.
